Former England captain Michael Vaughan has been quite active in social media these days, coming up with insights and hilarious tweets. While Michael Vaughan has copped plenty of flak from Indian fans over his comments against Indian pitches in the Test series, he has kept going. Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan earned maiden call-ups to the national team following their outstanding performances for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020. Suryakumar Yadav has been consistently knocking on the national side’s doors with compelling displays in the domestic circuit and the marquee T20 league. Ishan Kishan was Mumbai Indians’ standout performer in IPL 2020 with 516 runs and smashing the most sixes.
India’s team management decided to hand debuts to Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan as they replaced Shikhar Dhawan and Axar Patel. It was the home side’s underwhelming batting performance resulting in a loss that likely forced the change. The men in blue put on only 125 in the opening T20 international against England as they struggled against the tourists’ pace quartet. The number one T20 side responded by chasing the target with eight wickets to spare in 15.3 overs.
What did Michael Vaughan’s tweet say?
I see @BCCI have taken the advice & got more @mipaltan players involved … Very smart move … #INDvsENG
