Ravichandran Ashwin, on Sunday, urged X (formerly Twitter) owner Elon Musk to find a solution after noticing a derogatory post on his timeline from a Pakistani journalist.

The journalist named Wajahat Kazmi, who claims to have worked with some of the leading news media companies of the world, took to X to accuse Afghanistan of not playing to their full potential against India. His comments came after Afghanistan's historic win over Australia on Sunday in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

Afghanistan stunned the cricketing world by beating the reigning Test and ODI world champions by 21 runs. The win is Afghanistan's first-ever win over Australia in any format. Asked to bat first, the Rashid Khan-led side scored 148 for 6 in the allotted 20 overs thanks to half-centuries from their openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran.

In reply, Australia were bowled out for just 127 runs to suffer their first defeat of the ongoing tournament. Glenn Maxwell scored a fighting fifty but it was not enough for Australia to cross the finishing line. Apart from Maxwell, no other Australian player could even touch the 20-run mark while only three players managed to reach double-digits during the disastrous display.

Ravichandran Ashwin reacts to Pakistani journalist's post:

Soon after Afghanistan's win over Australia, the Pakistani journalist took to X to react to the upset. He stated that Afghanistan players intentionally underperform against India to save their IPL contracts.

"Afghanistan can beat any team in the world except India for obvious reasons. IPL contracts are very precious," wrote the Pakistani citizen.

Ravichandran Ashwin noticed the post and decided to react to it. Not the one to beat around the bush, the India star did not refute the baseless claim from the individual but urged Elon Musk to make sure such posts do not come on his timeline. The star spinner said that the users should have the right to decide what they wish to see on their timeline.

"I can’t tell u what to do @elonmusk but I should certainly have the right to decide who enters my house. My timeline my decision🙏," wrote Ashwin.

When one of Ashwin's followers pointed out that he could have simply blocked the individual, the Tamil Nadu ace replied: "It’s shouldn’t be my duty to block a set of handles every day. I know who I want to follow."
