CSA T20 League: 11 England Cricketers Including Jos Buttler, Eoin Morgan Signed Up- Reports

11 England cricketers have signed up for the CSA T20 League. The names include Jos Buttler, Eoin Morgan, and Moeen Ali amongst others. They are also among the highest-paid cricketers and local players from South Africa. Along with England, there are 10 players from Sri Lanka as well.
Jos Buttler and Liam Livingstone are among the England cricketers who are likely to earn US$ 500,000 each to play in the league in January and February next year, while Moeen will be paid $400,000. Cricket South Africa announced a list of 30 players who have signed up for the CSA T20 League on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, as per the norms, each squad will have a maximum of 17 players and they will get a pre-sign-up of five players- three overseas, one South Africa international player and one uncapped South African player – prior to the auction which will be happening in the next couple of weeks. There are likely to be four foreign players in the XI.
Former South African skipper Graeme Smith, also the League Commissioner of the tournament, shared his vision on the inauguration edition of the CSA T20 league.

“The League’s priority is to help strengthen our domestic cricket structures while putting on an exciting and entertaining cricketing showpiece. “Our player regulations have been thoughtfully drafted in consultation with the franchises and everyone is ready to get going. We’re looking forward to seeing how the teams match up and how the franchises will build their squads” said Smith.
He further spoke about the availability of the reputed South African national players for the league, The likes of Kagiso Rabada, Aiden Markram, and David Miller amongst others will also be participating in the tournament. Meanwhile, there are reports that Buttler has signed with the Paarl franchise owned by Rajasthan Royals, Holder has signed with the Durban franchise owned by Lucknow Super Giants and Theekshana has signed with the Super Kings-owned Johannesburg franchise.
“Having world-class South African players playing with some of the best cricketers around the world makes for some outstanding cricket. I’m mostly excited for the young and upcoming talent in our cricket pipeline. They will get to rub shoulders with some experienced and talented players which will no doubt inspire and help them to raise their own game” concluded Smith.
