Dale Steyn Hails Indian Speedster Mohammad Siraj For His Attitude

Former South African fast bowler Dale Steyn lauded one of India’s bowling sensations in recent times, Mohammad Siraj for having the excellent attitude required to be a fast bowler. Dale Steyn is one of the greatest test bowlers of all time and he managed to keep his cool always despite getting pumped up while taking wickets.

Steyn had a phenomenal career and his words are going to do great for the upcoming pacer Mohammad Siraj. The right-arm pacer used the chances he has got to perfection so far in the longer format and looks completely ready for the test series against England.

Steyn Impressed With What Siraj Brings To The Game

Steyn was particularly impressed with Siraj’s on the face attitude and he likes the challenge that Siraj has been throwing on the international batsman. He added that attitude can play a big part in drawing a batsman to play a false shot.

“I think he (Mohammed Siraj) brings a good attitude to the game. That’s another thing we tend to forget when you’re playing in English conditions. It’s not just about where you put the ball but also the attitude you bring, getting in people’s faces, making them play shots they don’t particularly want to play,” Dale Steyn wrote.

Steyn Confident Of Siraj Having A Great Future

Dale Steyn felt that Mohammad Siraj has the right attitude to have a successful and long career and he was delighted with the fight Siraj showed in Australia on his debut test series. Siraj might have to wait for his turn in the Indian test playing XI as the likes of Mohammad Shami, Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah have been India’s best trio of fast bowling in overseas conditions.

“I think Siraj is somebody who can do that. I saw parts of that little bit of fight when he played in Australia, and I immediately knew he was going to have a good Test career. Don’t forget about the attitude of a fast bowler too,” he added.

Mohammad Siraj is just 27 years old and he is expected to be groomed into a great fast bowler in the coming years.
