Former South Africa pace bowler Dale Steyn named Indian opener KL Rahul as the toughest batter he would face trouble with while bowling to. Steyn conducted a Question and Answer session with his Twitter followers on Tuesday (November 9).

One of the users happened to ask the former player about which batter from the current generation would have posed challenges for him to bowl.

“In today’s generation which batter do you think would have created a problem for you as a bowler?” the user asked.

Steyn named Indian opener KL Rahul in his response to the question.

KL Rahul is the captain of the IPL franchise Punjab Kings and has been tremendously performing for them with the bat.

KL Rahul had a tough time in T20 World Cup

Rahul failed to carry his marvellous form in the T20 World Cup in UAE, where India bowed out of the group stage.

Rahul could muster scores of 3 & 18 against Pakistan and New Zealand, respectively, as India lost both the matches.

Later the opener scored three half-centuries in the remaining fixtures against Afghanistan, Scotland and Namibia.

Rahul has also been named as the vice-captain of India for their upcoming T20I series against New Zealand starting on November 17.
