Rishabh Pant is currently recovering from the injuries that he sustained after the scary car accident in December last year. The wicketkeeper-batsman was lucky to come out of the crash without suffering any career-threatening injury.

A few days ago reports suggested that Rishabh Pant’s fast pace of recovery has surprised the BCCI and the medical staff at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. The wicketkeeper-batsman recently went to the NCA for the rehabilitation program and is keeping his followers and fans updated with his recovery.

In recent weeks, he has posted several videos on social media to show his progress. One of the videos showed him walking without crutches and climbing stairs without any support. The Indian cricket fraternity is eagerly waiting for the star wicketkeeper-batsman to return to action. Pant has not played a competitive match since India’s tour of Bangladesh in December 2022.

DDCA official on Rishabh Pant’s recovery:

While Rishabh Pant is still likely to remain on the sidelines for a good period of time, a Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) official has given a very positive update on the player. The DDCA committee led by Directors Shyam Sharma and Harish Singla recently met Pant at the NCA. Shyam Sharma has said that Pant is recovering well and while he was not sure about the comeback date, he hoped that the player would return soon.

“He is doing well in his recovery and now he is a lot better. There is a big question about his comeback as it takes time but I hope he will be back on the field as soon as possible,” Shyam told ANI.

Pant is unlikely to play any competitive cricket this year. It would mean he would miss the Asia Cup as well as the ODI World Cup at home in October and November. Pant also missed this year’s IPL as well as the World Test Championship Final last month.
