Delhi Capitals are set to play their last league game against Lucknow Super Giants at home on Tuesday, May 14. DC lost their previous match against RCB and are still stuck on 12 points. They can now only get to 14 points and their qualification chances are hanging by a thread.

Another win against LSG in their final game will get them in a position to get to the playoffs. A win against RCB kept them alive in the playoff race and now they look good to win against LSG at home as well.

Rishah Pant will return to the playing XI after serving his one-match ban. He missed the match against RCB where Axar Patel led the side. David Warner continues to remain out of the side as he is recovering from his finger injury.

Delhi Capitals have played well in their last few games despite the absence of David Warner. The inclusion of Fraser McGurk has made a difference in the side and the spinners Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav continue to be the strength for the side.

It was in 2021 that Delhi Capitals last made it to the IPL playoffs and a win will keep them in good stead in that direction this year as well.

Delhi Capitals Playing 11 vs LSG- IPL 2024, Match 64

Jake Fraser-McGurk

The youngster will open the batting for Delhi Capitals. He has been a free-flowing run-scorer at the top and has made an impact with the bat. He has scored over 330 runs this season at a strike rate of 237.

Abishek Porel

Porel will open the batting for DC. He scored his maiden fifty in the IPL in the previous match against RR. He was used as an Impact Sub in the first few games by Delhi Capitals but now is getting regular chances in the XI.

Shai Hope

Hope will slot in at three. He is getting a longer run with David Warner not yet fit to play and return to the playing XI. He missed a sitter of Rajat Patidar in the previous game and did not score too many with the bat.

Rishabh Pant (C/WK)

Pant will return to lead the side against LSG. He was banned for one game and thus he missed the match against RCB. The southpaw has scored 413 runs this season so far.

Tristan Stubbs

Stubbs will slot in at five. He has been a key figure in the DC batting order especially against the spinners in the middle-order. He has scored at a strike rate of almost 190.

Axar Patel

Patel will slot in at six. He was under pressure as a skipper in the last game. However, in this match, he will play as a player and will need to do his best for DC.

Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep will slot in at seven. He has picked up 15 wickets this season so far. He was expensive in the last match and was taken to the cleaners, especially by Rajat Patidar.

Mukesh Kumar

Mukesh Kumar has been the death-over specialist for DC. He took the key wicket of Faf du Plessis. He has taken 16 wickets this season so far in just nine matches.

Khaleel Ahmed

The left-arm pacer has been consistent for Delhi Capitals. He has picked up 16 wickets in 13 matches so far this season. He is in the reserves in India's T20 World Cup squad.

Ishant Sharma

Ishant will be the third seamer in the playing XI. He dismissed Virat Kohli in the previous game against RCB after getting a bit of stick from him in the match. The veteran is inching closer to 100 IPL wickets.

Lizaad Williams / Anrich Nortje

One of the two South African pacers can be the fourth seamer in the XI. The two bowlers have not played in the last few games with DC looking at different combinations.

Impact Sub: Rasikh Salam / David Warner

Rasikh will continue to be DC's impact player. He has done a good job for the side in that role picking up wickets at crunch moments in the game. He picked a wicket in the last game as well. The southpaw was used as an Impact Sub and scored just one in the last game against RCB. If they chase, Warner could be used as the Impact Sub as well.
