Delhi Capitals (DC) will look to extend their winning start to the season when they face Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 29th game of IPL 2025. The game is scheduled to take place on Sunday (April 13) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

High-flying DC will be backing themselves to beat MI who have struggled with their form so far. With four wins from four games, the Delhi-based outfit is the only unbeaten team left in the ongoing season.

In their last game, DC registered an impressive 6-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Chasing 164 runs, the Axar Patel-led side was reeling at 58/4. However, an unbeaten 111-run stand between KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs guided DC to an impressive victory.

Openers: Faf du Plessis, Jake Fraser-McGurk

Faf du Plessis and Jake Fraser-McGurk are set to be the openers in the Delhi Capitals Playing 11 for the upcoming match against MI. Both the DC openers failed to impress with the bat against RCB in the last game and will be eyeing a better show.

Du Plessis was out for just 2 runs while Fraser-McGurk departed for 7 runs. The onus will be on them to see off MI's formidable pace attack and give their team a strong start.

Middle-order: KL Rahul (wk), Tristan Stubbs, Axar Patel (c), Ashutosh Sharma

Abishek Porel was the Impact Player in the previous game and he is likely to be used as one in the upcoming game as well. One of Delhi Capitals' best performers last season, the southpaw has not really managed to live up to the expectations so far this season. He was out for only 7 runs in the last game and will look to bounce back.

KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs were the star with the bat in the last game. After DC were reduced to 58/4, they shared an unbeaten 111-run stand to take their team home. Rahul scored 93 while Stubbs scored 38. Both the batters will look to deliver with the bat once again.

Captain Axar Patel is set to be the main allrounder in the DC Playing 11 for the upcoming game. He scored 15 runs with the bat in the last game and could not take any wicket with the ball while conceding 52 runs. Axar will look to bounce back and lead his team from the front. Ashutosh Sharma did not get the chance to bat in the last game.

Bowlers: Vipraj Nigam, Mitchell Starc, Mohit Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav, Mukesh Kumar

The Delhi Capitals Playing 11 is set to have three pacers and two spinners with captain Axar Patel being the other spin option. Mitchell Starc is set to lead the attack with Mohit Sharma and Mukesh Kumar as his fast-bowling partners.

Starc could not take any wicket in the last game and will be keen to make an impact in the upcoming match. On the other hand, Mukesh Kumar and Mohit Sharma picked up one wicket each.

Unlike the Delhi Capitals pacers, the spinners enjoyed a good outing against RCB and will look to make a big impact once again. Vipraj Nigam conceded just 18 runs in his 4 overs and picked up 2 wickets. On the other hand, Kuldeep Yadav also picked up 2 wickets while giving away only 17 runs in 4 overs.
