West Indies National Cricket Team have suffered a blow ahead of the third and the final Test of the series against the England National Cricket Team. Pace bowler Jeremiah Louis has been ruled out of the game, which will take place in Edgbaston from 26th July.

Jeremiah Louis injured his hamstring during the second Test against England National Cricket Team, which took place at Trent Bridge. Although he didn't feature in the playing 11 for the two games, he hurt himself during the practice session and hence has been deemed unfit to feature in the last game.

Jeremiah Louis won't be returning home and instead will be with the team for further treatment. As he got ruled out of the final game of the series against England, Cricket West Indies was quick to announce the replacement for the fast bowler. They roped in like-for-like replacement, bringing Akeem Jordan into the squad.

Akeem Jordan was also already in the United Kingdom when he was called up by the Cricket West Indies. The fast bowler has already joined the squad and will take part in Wednesday's training session at Edgbaston before the final game of the series begins on 26th July.

Akeem Jordan is yet to make his debut for the West Indies National Cricket Team but has a decent record in First-Class cricket. The fast bowler has played 19 first-class games and has taken 67 wickets since 2022 at an average of 24.10. His performances include two five-wicket hauls with a best innings haul of 5 for 44.

Akeem Jordan will be joining the likes of Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Jayden Seales and allrounder Jason Holder as seamer in the team. With some big names already being there in the team, it is unlikely that the young fast bowler will be making his debut for the team in the last match.

West Indies have already lost the Test series against England

West Indies didn't have the kind of outing they would've wanted in the Test series against England National Cricket Team. They are 2-0 down in the series in the Richards-Botham Trophy with one game still to go. They would be hoping to win the last game and end the series on high.

West Indies started the series on a poor note. They have been extremely poor with the bat and ball in the series. Especially with their win in Australia earlier this year, it was expected that they would put up a fight here. But it hasn't been the case as they went on to lose both games one-sidedly.

West Indies suffered a massive innings and 114 runs defeat in the Lord's Test and were humiliated. However, in the second game, they came up with a great fight. They were even in the winning position as they took the lead in the first innings but couldn't carry on the momentum as they went on to lose the game by 241 runs last week in Trent Bridge.
