Dinesh Karthik Puts His Money On Rohit Sharma And Varun Chakravarthy To Be The Top Performers In ICC T20 World Cup

Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik has viewed out his predictions for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2021 and he picked the top run-scorer and the top wicket-taker of the tournament as well. Dinesh Karthik picked India and West Indies as the finalists of the tournament which is just a couple of months away from taking place.

Defending champions West Indies, Australia, South Africa and England are placed in Group A which will be one of the tight group fixtures as any team can go through to the semis. Meanwhile, The hosts, India, are placed alongside New Zealand, Pakistan, and Afghanistan in Group B. Two more teams will join each group after the qualifiers which start on October 17 in UAE.

Dinesh Karthik Reveals His Predictions For Top Run Scorers

Dinesh Karthik opined that there will be a tough fight for the top run-scorer spot between Rohit Sharma and David Warner in the upcoming ICC event. He explained the connections of Rohit with ICC tournaments being too strong while Warner is very destructive any time he comes into the team at the top of the order.

“Both of them open the innings. Both of them are solid players. I would put money on either one of them. Both are very hungry. Rohit Sharma and World Cups, they’re synonymous. They just love each other. They find ways to help each other out.If India are to do well he is somebody who needs to fire for them up top.

David Warner hasn’t played cricket for Australia for some time now. A hungry David Warner is a scary David Warner. He will come all guns blazing. I’m expecting some big things from him.” Dinesh Karthik said in an ICC Digital Show

Dinesh Karthik Picks A Surprise Choice For Best Bowler

Dinesh Karthik mentioned that his pick for the top bowler would be Varun Chakravarthy from India considering his special abilities with the ball. He added that the mystery bowler will be the talking point if India goes on well in the tournament and puts his money on the upcoming star.

 “My choice is a guy called Varun Chakravarthy. I feel he’s got something really special in him. If India goes all the way, I can promise you this boy that I’m speaking about will have played a major role in them moving forward in this tournament. Remember the name ‘Varun Chakravarthy’.” Dinesh Karthik added
