India National Cricket Team batter Tilak Varma made sure that he made a massive impact on his return to domestic cricket. Playing for India A against India D in the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024, the left-hander slammed a terrific century for his team.

Tilak Varma, who scored just 10 runs in the first innings, made an impact in the second innings. The Southpaw came to bat at No.3 and made sure that he took his team to the dominating position in the game and helped the side take the lead with over 450 runs on the board.

Tilak, who missed the Zimbabwe tour, played his first game in the Duleep Trophy and ensured that he made an immediate impact. The left-hander played with complete control throughout his innings and didn't put a foot wrong in his innings, playing shots all over the park.

Tilak came up with a sensational effort with the bat and slammed a vital fifty. However, after that, he made sure that he converted his half-century into a ton. He racked up a vital century with the bat and announced his arrival in style.

Varma slammed a century in 177 balls and lifted the monkey off his back. The Southpaw ended with the innings of unbeaten 111 runs off 193 balls, slamming 9 fours in his innings. Before the India A skipper Mayank Agarwal declared the innings at a total of 380/3.

Thanks to the innings by Tilak, India A posted a total of 380 and ended with the lead of 488 runs on the board. Apart from him, Pratham Singh slammed 122 runs while skipper Mayank Agarwal also hit a valiant half-century. Riyan Parag (20) and Shashwat Rawat (64*) also made vital contributions.

Earlier, in the first innings, India A posted a total of 290 runs on the board. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals, but it was Shams Mulani (89) and Tanush Kotian (53) who played a vital hand for the team and took them to a total of around 300 runs on the board.

India D then didn't have a great outing with the bat. They got all out for just 183 runs with Khaleel Ahmed and Aaqib Khan picking three wickets each. Devdutt Padikkal (94) was the top run-getter for his team in the innings, while Harshit Rana (31) was the second-leading run-getter.

India A then took command in the second innings, and with the way they batted, it's fair to say that they are in the driver's seat. They lost the first game of the tournament against India B and now would be keen to bag an important 6 points in the event.
