Headingley is all set to host the ENG vs AUS 3rd Test match starting from July 6 to 10. Having lost the first two Test matches, this is a must-win Test match for England. Australia are leading the series 2-0 and are looking to make it 3-0.

England skipper Ben Stokes comes back to a venue that is remembered for his great knock of 135 in the 2019 Ashes series. His 155 went in vain, unlike the knock that he played four years ago. The Southpaw needs to step up at one of his favorite venues.

England have announced their squad for the thirds Test. Both Stuart Broad and James Anderson have been retained with Moeen Ali and Chris Woakes part of the squad as well. England will be without Ollie Pope who is ruled out of the rest of the series with a dislocated shoulder. England might add Daniel Lawrence in his place in the XI.

For Australia, Steve Smith is all set to play his 100th Test match. Nathan Lyon is ruled out of the remainder of the series with a calf injury. The Aussies have added Michael Neser and Jimmy Pearson to the squad. Todd Murphy is likely to replace Lyon at Headingley.

The series is well poised for a comeback from Engaldn at home. In Stokes, they have a captain who is fresh from an almost match-winning knock that brought his team back into the game. He walked the talk in the second Test.

With a few controversies in the second Test, both teams will be itching to prove a point with England needing to save their reputation by playing at home. They certainly have the squad to do so and it will be interesting to see how they make a comeback in the series.

After Edgbaston, Lord’s will host the second Ashes Test from June 28 – July 2. Headingly will host the third test from July 6-10. Manchester (July 19-23) and The Oval (July 27-31) will host the final two Test matches to wrap up the series.
