England Cricket Team is all set to play Test Series in Pakistan after 2005 when the Men in Green had won the series by 2-0. The upcoming Test Series is set to commence on 01st December and is expected to be an enthralling contest as both teams are evenly matched.

Pakistan would be delighted to play a Test Series in their backyard as slowly International Cricket is slowly making a return. The Men in Green have taken some bold selection calls as leaving out Fawad & Hasan could prove to be a bit risky.

Brendon McCullum on Rehan Ahmed

Head Coach Brendon McCullum made interesting comments on the 18-year-old Rehan Ahmed. “We know he’s not the finished article and has raw potential, but Ben (Stokes), myself and the rest of the coaches like how he approaches his game. The experience of being part of the squad in Pakistan will be hugely beneficial for him, and he will add to the make-up of our squad.”  he said.

Stern Test for England

England Test Cricket Team is on a roll at the moment. They have won Test Series against New Zealand & South Africa and 1 Test Match against India. In all these Test Matches, the team has looked ruthless and has dominated the terms with their fearless approach. But the team would be well aware of the fact that conditions in Pakistan would be quite different where spin would come into action.

England has got nothing to lose as they are out of the World Test Championship Cycle (WTC 2021-23). Skipper Ben Stokes will have to be spot on with his tactics as his main conundrum would be which pacer the team will play as playing both Anderson & Broad won’t be a feasible option. The inclusion of Rehan Ahmed can change the dynamics of the team as he is also a handy lower batter. It would be interesting to see how Men In Green performs as they still have an outside chance of qualifying for the WTC final as they are placed at 5th position with a percentile of 51.85.
