"England Players Trust Security Advice On Tour Of Pakistan 100 Percent"- Ben Stokes

England’s Test Tour of Pakistan is in a precarious position after the former PM Imran Khan was attacked in a rally. England earlier had played 7 T20Is in Pakistan where they won the T20I Series by 4-3. Last Year, England refused to play 2 T20I match series by citing security and fatigue reasons.
Recently, BCCI Secretary and ACC President Jay Shah made it clear that the Asia Cup 2023 won’t take place in Pakistan. There are chances that once again Pakistan will have to find an alternate venue for playing their matches. Pakistan Cricket Board would be dealt with a massive blow if England refuse to come for Tests as everything is aligned.

Ben Stokes on Pakistan Test Tour
Ben Stokes was having an interaction with reporters and was asked about the Pakistan test Series. “Obviously, what happened there last week was a bit of a shock to see but Reg Dickason has been out there.” said Ben Stokes.

“In my opinion, he’s the best man to assess the situation … Whatever Reg comes back with, the players and the people going out on that tour 100% trust him because he’s a man you trust with your life.” he added.
Crucial Test Series for Pakistan
The Men in Green still has a chance to qualify for the WTC Final 2023. Pakistan currently is placed at 5th position in the standings with a percentile of 51.85%. If the test Series is cancelled due to security issues then finding another venue would be quite difficult for Pakistan Cricket Board.

England on the other hand has nothing to lose as they are out of the WTC Cycle. They would be aiming to spoil the party of Pakistan, the same way they did of New Zealand, India and South Africa. England’s newly adopted fearless approach would be tested as smashing the bowlers in Pakistan won’t be easy by means as the pitches would be spin friendly. Head Coach Brendon McCullum and Skipper Ben Stokes may have to tweak their approach to thump Pakistan.
