Team India has a plethora of new players who made their debut for the national team in the year 2023. Few of them have already made their mark on the team with their performances in different series and different formats. The year started with the T20I series against Sri Lanka at home which ended with India being victorious in both the formats.
Experienced players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were out of action for the T20I format this year which saw the Indian team trying a lot of new players in different tours. However, a few players made full use of the opportunity and they have a bright future ahead of them in cricket. They made their mark in the Indian team with their performances and their abilities to play international games at a young age.

1. Yashasvi Jaiswal:
Yashasvi Jaiswal had a terrific IPL 2023 season where he scored the fastest-ever fifty in just 13 balls and was also the top-score for Rajasthan Royals scoring 625 runs in 14 games. His performances got him a place in the Indian team for the Test series against West Indies in July. He scored a staggering hundred on his Test debut scoring 171 against West Indies in Dominica. He also scored an 84 on his second T20I match and made an impact as an opener for the team. Yashasvi Jaiswal is one of the few young players from India who can dominate the World Cricket in the future.
2. Tilak Varma:
Tilak Varma had a wonderful IPL with the Mumbai Indians as he scored a good amount of runs for the franchise. The 21-year-old southpaw got his India cap against West Indies in the T20I series and he immediately made an impact scoring a half-century in just his second game for India. He also made his ODI debut in the Asia Cup 2023 against Bangladesh but has failed to perform in the longer white-ball format. Tilak Varma has the potential to be a great batter, especially in T20s and he can certainly dominate World Cricket if he develops consistency.
3. Rinku Singh:
The 26-year-old left-handed Rinku Singh made headlines after he hit five sixes in an over to Yash Dayal while chasing 29 runs in the last over. He made his mark in the IPL for KKR and was selected for Team India in August for a T20I series against Ireland. He was quick to make his mark in the Indian team and has been terrific with the bat down the order.
Rinku Singh is considered a great finisher for the Indian team and he has performed really well. He has played 12 T20I matches in which he batted in eight innings to score 262 runs at an average of 65.5 and a humongous strike rate of 180.69. He is definitely a player to watch out for and he can dominate the world cricket.
4. Sai Sudharsan:
Sai Sudharsan also made headlines after a wonderful IPL for the Gujarat Titans. He scored 96 in the IPL 2023 finals against Chennai Super Kings. The 22-year-old batter got the opportunity to play for India A in the ACC Emerging Youth Asia Cup where he made his mark by scoring a century against Pakistan A. He made his India debut in the recently concluded ODI series against South Africa and scored two consecutive half-centuries in his first two matches for the national team. Sai Sudharsan can be a great prospect for the Indian team.
5. Ravi Bishnoi:
Ravi Bishnoi is another young prospect who has a bright future ahead of him. The 23-year-old youngster rose through the ranks to become the No.1 T20I bowler in 2023. He was the player of the series in the five-match T20I series against Australia. He took nine wickets in five games against a strong Australian side. Ravi Bishnoi can also be a force to reckon with in T20I and he has proven his worth in the shortest format particularly.
