Former India cricketer Amit Mishra made a massive statement about the fight between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. He said that after the tiff, it was Gambhir who ended the feud between the two in the last edition of the tournament.

Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli were involved in a massive fight during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. It was during the game between Lucknow Super Giants and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru when the duo had a verbal spat with each other at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

It all started after Virat Kohli had a verbal spat with Naveen-ul-Haq during the game and the duo were involved in a massive fight. They had a fight during the game and it turned out to be worse as it continued even after that and the duo had a tiff even after the game during post-match handshakes.

However, as Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq were fighting, Gautam Gambhir, who was the mentor of the Lucknow Super Giants, too joined in and supported his teammate. He then had a brutal spat with Virat Kohli and things got intense as members of both teams were involved in it.

But during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli hugged each other and it put all the talks related to their fight on rest. During the game between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders, the duo shared a heartfelt moment on the field.

Amit Mishra now made a massive revelation about the same. He stated that it was Gautam Gambhir who walked up to Virat Kohli and showed his large-heartedness. He also made an eye-catching statement, saying that it should've been Kohli who should've apologized. Speaking on the podcast, he stated:

"I saw a good thing about Gautam. Virat Kohli didn't go towards him, Gautam went towards him. He went and asked 'How are you, how's your family.' So it was Gautam who ended the feud and not Kohli."

"So Gautam showed his big heart at that time. It should have been Kohli who should have gone and ended the feud. He should have gone and said 'Gauti bhai, let's end this,'" said Amit Mishra.

Gautam Gambhir joins the India team as head coach Virat Kohli will play under him as the batter

Gautam Gambhir was recently appointed as the head coach of the India National Cricket Team. He will be replacing Rahul Dravid as the head coach whose tenure ended after the T20 World Cup 2024. After various reports of Gambhir joining as head coach, it finally turned into reality when Jay Shah made an official statement.

Virat Kohli now will be playing under Gautam Gambhir and with both being fierce competitors, it is expected that the India team will be one of the toughest teams to play against.

Gautam Gambhir will be taking over the charge of the team from the Sri Lanka tour. The Men in Blue will be traveling to the Island nation for the three ODIs and the three T20Is later this month and it will mark a new era in Indian cricket.
