India National Cricket Team head coach Gautam Gambhir has taken a dig at England National Cricket Team's 'Bazball' style for cricket, which they started playing following the appointment of Brendon McCullum as head coach and Ben Stokes as skipper in red-ball cricket.

Bazball is a term coined by Andrew Miller and it means an aggressive approach that England adopted under McCullum and Stokes to completely transform their Test cricket and come out of the crisis. It has received criticism from some experts, but many experts have also become fans of England's new approach.

While playing Bazball under the new regime, England won 19 out of 30 matches, with just one series loss against India away from home. Notably, under the old regime, the Three Lions had won just one of 17 previous matches.

It has often been said by English players, who play Bazball, that they don't care about results and focus mainly on making the purest form of cricket more entertaining with their aggressive cricket. However, India head coach Gautam Gambhir thinks completely opposite as results are everything to him.

"I've always been a believer that the best style is the style that wins" - Gautam Gambhir

At the pre-match press conference ahead of the Bangladesh Test series, Gautam Gambhir stated that the style that brings victories is the best a team can adopt, and playing according to situations becomes the most important factor.

"I've always been a believer that the best style is the style that wins, and we want to be a team that adapts and that learns quickly rather than adopting one style," Gautam Gambhir said.

"If you start adopting one style, then there is no growth. We want guys to be playing the situation, the conditions and then keep growing every day, and that is all that matters," Gautam Gambhir said.

"All this, giving a name to a certain style and playing only one way. So ultimately, sport is all about results. And the best as I just mentioned, the best style is the style that wins," Gautam Gambhir added.

Meanwhile, Gautam Gambhir will participate in his first Test series as the head coach of the India National Cricket Team against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team at home. He has so far guided India in an ODI and a T20I series against Sri Lanka, winning the 20-over contest but losing the 50-over series.

Meanwhile, the first Test between India and Bangladesh will be played from September 19 in Chennai, and the second Test will be played from September 27 in Kanpur.

Although India will be entering the series as favorites, Bangladesh can't be taken lightly, especially after their historic Test series win in Pakistan. Former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif, however, believes that the Bangla Tigers won't be able to trouble the Indian team because they are operating at a different level at home.

"Bangladesh might have won in Pakistan but India is at a different level. Rohit Sharma's team has Virat Kohli and Bumrah and is united. Tough to beat them at home for anyone. #INDvsBAN," former India cricketer stated.
