India spin star Yuzvendra Chahal, on Tuesday (July 23), celebrated his 34th birthday. The leg-spinner's wife, Dhanashree Verma made the day even more special for him by penning down a heartfelt message for her husband.

Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree had tied the knot in 2020 during the pandemic. The love story began during the Covid-19 lockdown when the spinner approached Dhanashree, a talented choreographer, for online dance lessons. And it did not take the teacher-student relationship long to transform into romance. The lovebirds were also quick to take their relationship to the next stage by tying the knot.

On Tuesday, Dhanashree took to Instagram to post a beautiful message for her husband. Posting a loved-up photo of herself with Yuzvendra Chahal, Dhanashree called her husband the greatest spinner and hailed his skill set and winning mentality.

"Greatest spinner and a winner. Your skill set and your passion to win it for your team is the greatest quality that you carry… May god always shower his blessings… always your biggest cheerleader. Happy Birthday @yuzi_chahal23"

Yuzvendra Chahal made his debut for Team India in 2016 and quickly became an indispensable part of the white-ball teams although he has struggled to find regular chances in recent times. So far, he has played 72 ODIs and 80 T20Is for Team India, taking 121 and 96 wickets respectively.

End of road for Yuzvendra Chahal?

Last month, Yuzvendra Chahal was a part of the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup 2024. However, he did not play a single game in the competition as the team management preferred the likes of Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Ravindra Jadeja ahead of him.

And last week, he was dropped from the T20I squad for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka. He is also not a part of the ODI squad for quite some time now. With the likes of Ravi Bishnoi, Kuldeep, and Axar ahead of him in the pecking order, many believe that it is the end of the road for Yuzvendra Chahal in international cricket.

While Chahal has struggled to get regular chances in international cricket, he has continued to do well in IPL. He did well in the competition this year as well, taking 18 wickets to help Rajasthan Royals reach the playoffs.
