Rajasthan Royals (RR) Beat Gujarat Titans (GT) By 8 Wickets

RR won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match. They were unable to do a good job in the first innings, and the Rajasthan Royals bowlers were taken to the cleaners by Shubman Gill (84) and Jos Buttler (50*), who were the top two performers for the Gujarat Titans.

For the Rajasthan Royals, Maheesh Theekshana got two wickets while Jofra Archer and Sandeep Sharma bagged one wicket each to restrict the Gujarat Titans to 209/4.

Chasing the target, Vaibhav Suryavanshi came out all guns blazing, and he blasted 101 runs off 38 balls. Yashasvi Jaiswal also slammed 70 runs off 40 balls as RR completed the run-chase in 15.5 overs in an epic fashion.

Gujarat Titans currently occupy the third position on the Indian Premier League 2025 points table with 6 wins in 9 matches and 12 points. They have a good Net Run Rate of 0.748.

GT have five more matches remaining in the IPL 2025, and to qualify for the playoffs, they need to win at least two more games and reach 16 points, which will guarantee their spot in the top 4.

If they win three out of the remaining five matches, they can finish in the top two, and even if they win just one match, they can qualify, but then they will have to depend on other results.

Talking about the Rajasthan Royals, they are at the 8th spot on the standings with 3 wins in 10 matches and 6 points. They have a Net Run Rate of -0.349.

The road ahead is quite tough for RR as they need to win all their remaining four matches to reach 14 points. That will not guarantee their spot, and they will need to depend on other results as well as Net Run Rate to somehow make it to the top 4. Meanwhile, one more loss would mean curtains for them.
