Shubman Gill's poor run of form is a major concern for the side who have not batted well in the last few games. Senior players David Miller and Wriddhiman Saha also need to step on the gas if GT are to make the most of the opportunity they have. CSK returned to winning ways after beating Punjab Kings in the previous game. They ended a five-match losing streak against the side. At this phase of the competition, a side like CSK needs what to do with their roles well defined for the players.

Their bowling attack has weakened a bit with the absence of Matheesha Pathirana and Mustafizur Rahman who have left the side now for national commitments. Ravindra Jadeja and Tushar Deshpande stepped up in the last game and need to continue their form going.

Spin has been Dube's undoing in the last two games against Punjab Kings. Rashid with his experience should have read that and should back him to dismiss the CSK big-hitter. 

Shubman Gill vs Tushar Deshpande 

Deshpande has been taking wickets inside the powerplay and he will be targeting the wicket of the GT skipper who has not been in good form in the last few games. 

Shahrukh Khan / David Miller vs Ravindra Jadeja 

Jadeja picked up three for 20 in the last match against Punjab Kings. With the GT big-hitters looking to take him on, he has a chance to dismiss them in the game. This should be an exciting match-up.
