Gujarat Giants vs Mumbai Indians women go head in the WPL 2024 match 3 in Bengaluru on Sunday, February 25. The match starts at 7.30 pm IST. This is Mumbai’s second game of the campaign the campaign opener for Gujarat Giants.

The two teams had polar opposite campaigns in WPL 2023. While MI women were the eventual champions of the season. The Giants finished second despite their much-experienced thinktank.

Heading into a new season, MI women will be once again led by Harmanpreet Kaur who is the national team captain. She has plenty of experience to fall back on with players like Hayley Mathews, Nat Sciver Brunt, Amelia Kerr, and Shabnim Ismail in her ranks.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Giants lost their skipper Beth Mooney in the very first game due to an injury, Sneh Rana took over the captaincy but could not change the fortunes of the side. The injury to Beth Mooney became one of the most talked about events last season. However, she is back as the captain this season.

The side is filled with Indian talent and there is a nice mix of overseas players. Laura Wolvaadrt, Veda Krishnamurthy, Phoebe Litchfield, Harleen Deol, Ashleigh Gardner, and Sneh Rana herself are the key players on the side.
