RCB Deserved To Celebrate Because Of The Way They Won - Harbhajan Singh

Earlier in a conversation with Sports Yaari, Harbhajan recalled an incident involving MS Dhoni after a match between CSK and RCB in the IPL 2024. He stated that Dhoni punched a screen outside the dressing room after RCB's celebration, which delayed the customary handshake between the two teams.

"RCB was celebrating and they deserved to celebrate because of the way they won. I was watching the whole scene from above because I was present there. RCB was celebrating and CSK had lined up to shake hands, RCB were a little late to reach CSK," Harbhajan said in a conversation with Sports Yaari as quoted by NDTV.

"By the time Team RCB finished their celebration, (Dhoni) went inside and he punched a screen outside the dressing room. I was watching from above but it is okay that every player has his own emotions, it happens," he added.

MS Dhoni Walked Off The Field Without Shaking Hands

In a crucial match for playoff qualification, CSK needed 219 runs to win but only 201 was enough to qualify. CSK required 17 runs off the last over to make it to the playoffs. Dhoni hit a six on the first ball of the 20th over but was dismissed on the next delivery. CSK fell short by nine runs to qualify for playoffs.

Dhoni and his team lined up for the customary handshake after CSK's defeat to RCB. However, RCB were still celebrating their victory, leading Dhoni to walk off without shaking hands. CSK could not defend their title in the IPL 2024, leaving them tied with Mumbai Indians (MI) at five IPL championships.
