Many former cricketers and pundits have fallen short of words while praising Jasprit Bumrah’s exceptional performances over the years. Bumrah was the Player of the Tournament in the 2024 T20 World Cup. In a recent interview, former BCCI President Sourav Ganguly lauded the pacer for his exceptional bowling display.

Jasprit Bumrah is an unbelievable combination- Sourav Ganguly

While speaking on Backstage with Boria, the former captain said, "India’s batting is phenomenal, and having Jasprit Bumrah is an unbelievable combination. He is brilliant. With the white ball, he is unbelievable. Wasim Akram and Bumrah would be the two greatest I have seen in white-ball cricket under pressure."

Here's the video

"Bumrah is the best in the business; he is a freak. He is arguably the best bowler in the world at the moment. But back in those days, every team had world-class bowlers. Australia had legends like Glenn McGrath, Jason Gillespie, Brett Lee, and Shane Warne. Pakistan had the iconic duo of Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis."

"If you look at the England cricket team, they had players like Andrew Flintoff, Steve Harmison, and later James Anderson. Meanwhile, the South Africa national cricket team boasted a formidable attack with Shaun Pollock, Allan Donald, Jacques Kallis, and Lance Klusener."

India set their eye for 2027 ODI World Cup

The Men in Blue have been dominating white-ball cricket after the 2023 ODI World Cup final loss to Australia like no other team. They have been excellent and lost just two games in the last four ICC tournaments. This showcases their dominance in the white-ball format.

Though there has been a captaincy change in the ODI format, with Shubman Gill replacing Rohit Sharma. There have been problems with the leadership of Gill as India lost their first series at home against a second-string side of New Zealand, which did not have some of their experienced bowlers. With the ODI World Cup 2027, Gautam Gambhir and the management need to fix the problems as soon as possible.
