ICC Interim Chief Executive Geoff Allardice has noted that there won’t be any bilateral series taking place between India and Pakistan in the near future, considering the political situation. After the political rift between the nations, India and Pakistan haven’t played a bilateral series for a long time, and they have been meeting in just the ICC tournaments.

India and Pakistan recently played against each other in the Super 12 stages, and the packed crowd for the game was fascinating. The rivalry has been one of the most talked-about, and the viewership for the game was also stunning. The ICC Interim Chief executive Geoff Allardice interviewed the Dubai Media, and he came up with his views on the India-Pakistan bilateral series getting on again.

ICC Won’t Influence In Bilateral Series Says Geoff Allardice

ICC Interim Chief executive Geoff Allardice was questioned if ICC would influence India-Pakistan bilateral series resuming, and he admitted it won’t be possible in bilateral series. He added that bilateral series involves the situation of two countries and the boards come into play more than ICC.

“Not in bilateral cricket. We obviously enjoy when they play each other in our events. But the relationship between the two countries and the boards is something the ICC isn’t able to influence,” ICC Interim Chief executive Geoff Allardice told.

“Like any bilateral cricket, if the two boards agree they play, if they don’t, then they don’t. I suppose we’re not seeing much of a change on the horizon,” he added.

India Loses To Pakistan In T20 World Cup 2021

India lost to Pakistan for the first time in a World cup fixture in the super 12 stages of the ongoing T20 World cup 2021, and it certainly has broken the jinx that Pakistan had been having. India was outplayed in both the departments completely, and they couldn’t find a way to come back in the game as well. It was pure dominance from the men in green, and the win will be etched in their memories for a long time.
