It Is All Hunger To Perform When Opportunity Comes: Ishan Kishan

While speaking to Jio Cinema after his brilliant knock in the 2nd T20I, Ishan Kishan said that it is his hunger to perform that keeps him fresh.

“It is all hunger, when you are not a part of a great team. We played like champions at the World Cup. I was feeling bad, but you can’t help it. In international cricket, times will come when you will not play but at the same time, you will have to be fresh. You will have to make it count when the time comes. When the opportunity comes, you will have to go for it,” Kishan said.

The left-handed batsman was part of ICC World Cup 2023. However, he played just 2 games in the absence of Shubman Gill. After his return, he warmed the bench in the rest of the matches. He was the second wicketkeeper choice in the squad with KL Rahul as the primary one.

In the ongoing series, Ishan Kishan is the first-choice keeper. Jitesh Sharma is another keeper in the squad. Among the young squad, Kishan is an experienced batter. He has showcased his brilliance in both games so far.
