“I Will Say Virat” – Pat Cummins' Response To Sachin Tendulkar vs Virat Kohli Question

Australia National Cricket Team’s Test and ODI captain, Pat Cummins, has joined the Sachin Tendulkar vs Virat Kohli debate. He was recently asked by his teammate Usman Khawaja to pick his choice between the two India National Cricket Team batting greats.

The Kohli vs Sachin debate has long troubled and entertained cricket fans. However, it did tend to subside a bit during Kohli’s lean patch, but it has once again reignited following his return to form.

Sachin Tendulkar, who is referred to as ‘The God of Cricket,’ is the most prolific run-maker in the history of cricket and he holds the record for smashing 100 centuries in international cricket.

Kohli, on the other hand, is a modern-day batting great, who has shattered several records of Tendulkar and is the second-highest century scorer in history with 74 tons to his name. Many believe that Kohli will be the second batter to reach the 100 international tons milestone after Tendulkar.

Pat Cummins Picks His Choice Between Kohli And Tendulkar

During a teaser for Prime Video’s upcoming documentary ‘The Test’ on Australian cricket, Usman Khawaja asked Cummins to pick a better batsman between Tendulkar and Kohli. Cummins was quick enough to pick Kohli and he also had a valid reason for his selection.

“Sachin or Virat?” Khawaja fired at his Test skipper.

“Of what? Cooking?” quipped Cummins before adding, “I think I have played Sachin only once in a T20 years ago. So I will say, Virat.”

Meanwhile, Cummins also had a difficult query for Khawaja as he asked the opening batsman to rank India’s four legends – Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman.

Khawaja was also ready with his answer and he placed Tendulkar in the first position and VVS Laxman was last on his list.

“I would go, Tendulkar, one. Dravid, the wall, two. Three, Dada. Ganguly, unfortunately, this hurts for me to say for Laxman too, I love watching Laxman bat, but lefties first,” he responded.
