ICC Champions Trophy 2025: "BCCI should talk directly with PCB..." - Mohsin Naqvi warns India & ICC

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi came up with a massive statement related to India's participation in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He said that if BCCI has any problem they should talk directly to them and he also expects ICC to make a good decision on the same.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has involved both the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in a tussle. The Indian body has declined to travel to Pakistan for the tournament, citing security reasons for their decision.

The BCCI has also written to the ICC for the same, but the PCB, on the other hand, has mentioned they are not willing to host the tournament in a Hybrid model. They have made a strong statement, saying that they want to host the entire tournament in Pakistan.

There have been several reports that have claimed that ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be held in the Hybrid model. The reports claimed that the entire tournament will be taking place in Pakistan while India games might be played in Dubai or Sri Lanka.

Mohsin Naqvi talked about the situation, saying that BCCI should talk directly to PCB. He also called out the ICC, saying that the global body should think about its credibility and make good decisions related to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Mohsin Naqvi also mentioned that sports shouldn't be mixed with politics. He also made a bold claim, saying that he expects BCCI to make good decisions on the matter of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Speaking to the media, he explained:

"BCCI should talk directly with PCB in case of any reservations regarding the Champions Trophy in Pakistan. ICC must think about its credibility. PCB expects good from the decision of ICC in the matter of Champions Trophy. Sports should be kept away from politics and I still expect good from BCCI on the matter of Champions Trophy."

Mohsin Naqvi further talked about their preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He said the whole world should come to see full-fledged preparations and mentioned that they will complete the upgradation of stadiums before time. He added:

"World cricket must see the ongoing full-fledged preparations of the Champions Trophy in Pakistan. PCB will complete the upgradation work in cricket stadiums of Rawalpindi Lahore Karachi before time."
