ICC Champions Trophy 2025 full schedule to be announced in October

In what has been the latest development as per the reports in Sports Tak, it is learned that the schedule for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be announced in October. The tournament will be played in Pakistan next year in February-March.

The reports claimed that the International Cricket Council will be sending a delegation to Pakistan in the next few days to check preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), in the last few months, has been making huge steps to make things perfect for the tournament.

It is learned that after the International Cricket Council officials visit Pakistan for the assessment of Champions Trophy 2025, the governing body will be announcing the schedule. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently announced the draft schedule, and it is expected that something similar might be in the fray.

A source close to Sports Tak mentioned that they are hopeful that the schedule and tickets of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be announced soon. He also mentioned that the budget has been allocated, and the governing body will make an announcement soon. He explained:

"Right after the ICC delegation's visit, we are hopeful that the schedule and ticket details will be announced. The process has already been delayed, so we expect ICC to make the announcement soon. We have the budget allocated, and the preparations are moving according to plan. Now, it's up to the ICC to decide."

Recently Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Moshin Naqvi also made a bold statement related to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He mentioned that the tournament will be held in Pakistan, and they are in talks with BCCI Secretary Jay Shah as well for the participation of the Indian team.

Of late, there have been various reports which have suggested that the Indian team won't be traveling to Pakistan for the tournament. It was learned that they will be needing clearance from the government for the tournament. The two nations, due to the political tensions, don't play each other in bilateral series.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be played across three venues in Pakistan

As per the draft schedule, the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be played across three venues in Pakistan. Lahore will be hosting seven matches, five games will be played in Rawalpindi, and three games reportedly are slated to take place in Karachi.

The draft schedule also has suggested that the India National Cricket Team will be playing all the games in Lahore. Reports also mentioned that India vs Pakistan will be taking place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on March 1.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be taking place from 19th February to 9th March. This will be the first time that a tournament will be played after 2017. Pakistan are the defending champions and would want to defend their title at home and give fans something to cheer about.
