India National Cricket Team batter KL Rahul didn't travel with the team after the Rohit Sharma-led side reached Dubai for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. As per the reports in the Times of India, it is learned that batter traveled in a separate car after landing in UAE.
India team flew out of India to Dubai for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on Saturday (15th February). As they arrived in UAE, a huge number of fans turned out at the airport to welcome the Rohit Sharma-led side in the Gulf country.
Team bus went to the hotel without KL Rahul, keeper-batter took a separate car to the hotel after India landed in Dubai
The cheers began when India National Cricket Team head coach Gautam Gambhir walked out, leading the team. The players in Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, and Hardik Pandya also received huge reception and greeted the fans as they boarded the team bus.
As skipper Rohit Sharma arrived and exited the airport to board the team bus, fans went berserk. The India National Cricket Team skipper even summoned the security official for some instructions as fans kept cheering for him.
But what caught the attention of many was that KL Rahul was not spotted with the team, as he wasn't seen in the team bus, which went to the hotel without the keeper-batter. The right-hander, however, walked out at least 20 minutes after the team left and took a separate car to the hotel.

KL Rahul will be keeping the wickets for India National Cricket Team in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The keeper-batter's place in the side was confirmed by head coach Gautam Gambhir after the ODI series against the England National Cricket Team.
Gautam Gambhir was asked about Rishabh Pant's place in the team after KL Rahul didn't get big runs in the series. The head coach, however, mentioned that they would be backing the right-hander, and he will be the first-choice keeper in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, adding that Pant will have to wait.

Rahul, since the last few years, has been magnificent in the ODIs while batting in the middle order. The right-hander has been averaging over 50 at 5 and was one of the key factors behind India's campaign in the ICC World Cup 2023.
Rahul, along with Shreyas Iyer, was the backbone of the India middle order in the last tournament. The Karnataka batter would be keen to carry on the same form and help his team win the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will begin on 19th February. The Rohit Sharma-led side will be opening their campaign against Bangladesh on 20th February at the Dubai International Stadium.
