He scored 60 runs off just 65 balls in his first Test outing. The right-handed batsman also stunned the world by taking on Jasprit Bumrah, arguably the best fast bowler in the world. He hit the India pace spearhead for a number of boundaries while also using audacious ramp shots against him.

Later, the youngster also managed to get under the skin of the Indian players and was involved in a number of altercations. During the MCG Test, he was shouldered by Virat Kohli before the latter was sanctioned by the ICC. He was also involved in a couple of altercations with Jasprit Bumrah during the Melbourne Test as well as the Sydney Test.

During the Sydney Test, Bumrah was getting ready to bowl when Sam Konstas said something to him while standing at the non-striker's end. It did not go well with Bumrah who said something to the youngster before dismissing his opening partner Usman Khawaja on the very next ball. The India star then celebrated the wicket by turning towards Sam Konstas and giving him a stare.

Jasprit Bumrah, Virat Kohli face the heat for altercation with Sam Konstas:

Sam Konstas' altercations with Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah have been the talk of the town for the last couple of weeks. And now New South Wales coach Greg Shipperd has also weighed in on the matter with his views. Shipperd made it clear that he was not at all impressed with Kohli and Bumrah's behavior as he slammed the senior cricketers for their over-reaction.

"I don’t know if he thrives on it. I think it surprised him," Shipperd said when asked about the Bumrah altercation as quoted by News.com.au. "I think it was a disgraceful act and should have been punished far more severely than it was.

"He or the circumstance got under the skin of Jasprit, and the team response was super aggressive towards him. I think he’ll walk through that and look forward to his next opportunity in Sri Lanka," he added.

Earlier, India head coach Gautam Gambhir had taken a swipe at Sam Konstas, saying that the Australia opener had no right to engage in any altercation with Bumrah. Gambhir had also called Australia 'soft' for their reaction to the incident.

Meanwhile, the series ended at 3-1 in Australia's favour. Australia reclaimed the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after 10 years and also booked their spot in the WTC final for the second time in a row.
