ICC Rankings Update: Babar Azam Consolidates His No.1 Spot In ODIs; Fabian Allen Breaks Into Top-Ten T20I Bowlers List

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has consolidated his position at the numero uno spot in the ICC ODI rankings following his brilliant 158 in the final game against England on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old has gained 8 rating points to claim a career-best 873 points, 16 more than the second-placed Virat Kohli. Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma is at the 3rd spot with 825 points.

Meanwhile, the other beneficiaries in the ranking update are the Irish duo of William Porterfield (up to five places to 74) and Harry Tector (up 30 places to 90th) while South Africa’s Janneman Malan (up 12 places to 95th) and England’s James Vince, who scored a match-winning ton against Pakistan in the final ODI has leapfrogged 85 places to move to the 113th spot in the ICC ODI rankings for batters.
As far as ODI rankings for bowlers are concerned, England pacer Saqib Mahmood (up 89 places to 63rd) Ireland’s duo of Craig Young (up 4 places to 78), and Joshua Little (up 22 places to 86th) have made significant gains.

As far as bowlers are concerned, Blessing Muzarabani (up 6 places to 45th) and Doland Tiripano (up 3 places to 76th) have made gains while Bangladesh’s duo of Mehidy Hasan and Taskin Ahmed have leapfrogged six places to claim 24th and 89th spot respectively.
Meanwhile, Indies all-rounder Fabian Allen has entered the top-ten rankings for bowlers in T20Is after having claimed three wickets in as many games in the ongoing series against Australia.

The 26-year-old has moved up to 26 spots to claim the 10th spot.

The other beneficiaries include Sheldon Cottrell [up 2 places to 22nd], Dwayne Bravo [up to 7 places to 37th] and Obed McCoy [up 15 places to 38th], and Mitchell Starc, who has advanced 5 places and is now at the 29th spot in the T20I bowler’s rankings.
Meanwhile, Shimron Hetmyer [up 37 places to 62nd], Lendl Simmons [up 6 places to 64th] have also moved up in the T20I rankings for batters while the duo of Chris Gayle and Andre Russell are tied at 103rd spot after having gained 22 and 38 places respectively.
