Former Australian pacer Brett Lee has said that if team India go on to win the Test match at Gabba, it won’t be a miracle. Lee has stated that the Indian Cricket Team surely has the potential to win the final Test at Brisbane and seal the series. Notably, the final Test between India and Australia will be played at Brisbane from January 15. The hosts have a very good record at this venue and hence, they are the favourites.

Brett Lee has also said that since the Australian bowlers have been in fine rhythm throughout the series, the hosts surely have an upper hand. In the Border-Gavaskar trophy so far, Australia cruised past India in the first Test at Adelaide. The Indian Cricket Team made a solid comeback in the second Test at Melbourne and beat the Aussies. In the third Test, a day 5 masterclass from Indian batsmen saw the visitors salvage a draw.

Brett Lee Reckons India Can Beat Australia At The Gabba

Former Australian pacer Brett Lee has said that if the India National Cricket Team wins at the Gabba, it will be nothing miraculous as the team has the potential to do so.

“I don’t think a win at the Gabba is a miracle (for India), I think it’s a real possibility, especially if Australia are a couple short in their batting lineup. The only thing that’s going to hurt India is their lack of options to choose from. A couple of their gun bowlers are gone, a couple of batsmen are out with injury as well,” said Brett Lee.

“The Australian bowlers are all fully fit, so I’m going to tip Australia is going to go well at the Gabba providing we have Pucovski and David Warner at the top of the order. If we don’t, then India can definitely come back in and are a chance to beat Australia. Otherwise, we are potentially looking at two different openers at the Gabba. If that’s the case, then I’d have to say the tide turns and India would have to be favourites,” said Brett Lee.

Will Pucovski Ruled Out Of The Final Test

Australia have received a major blow right before the fourth Test as their opener, Will Pucvoski has been ruled out of the final Test due to the injury that he suffered during the third Test at Sydney. Pucovski had only made his debut for Australia in Test cricket in the last game. Now, Marcus Harris will open alongside David Warner in the final Test for the Kangaroos.

The visitors has also been dealing with a lot of injury blows ever since their tour of Australia began. Two of their biggest assets, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah are likely to be ruled out for the fourth Test and in such a situation, the Men in Blue can find themselves in real trouble at the Gabba.
