With India playing a stupendous brand of cricket, former England cricketer Micheal Vaughan came up with a bold comment. He stated that ICC is helping India with spin-friendly venues, especially in the World Cup semifinal at Guyana against England, and morning games.

Sourav Ganguly was asked about Michael Vaughan's comment and while calling former England cricketer a dear friend, he justified that he doesn't understand how broadcasting helps the team win as they still have to play good cricket. Speaking to reporters, he explained (as quoted by PTI):

"Michael Vaughan is a very dear friend of mine. I don't know how ICC helps India win cricket matches by keeping the broadcast at 8 pm IST in the evening. I don't know how broadcasting wins you cricket matches.

"You still have to play in the middle and win. Secondly, I don't know why Guyana is thought to be a venue for winning when they have gone around and won everywhere."

India is a dominant force in world cricket, by its performance, by its broadcast, and by the money it brings to the table - Sourav Ganguly

Further reeling into Michael Vaughan's comment, Sourav Ganguly claimed that India is a dominant force in world cricket in every aspect. He pointed out that if an 80% share of a company is owned by a particular party they expect more dividends. He added:

"Yes, India is a dominant force in world cricket, by its performance, by its broadcast, and by the money it brings to the table. You know if you own 80 percent of a company's shares, you will get more dividends and profits than others. It's the rule of life. India is the same."

India crushed England by 68 runs in the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2024. With the bat first, they were sensational as skipper Rohit Sharma led from the front and scored 57 runs. After that Indian spinners in Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel came up with a magnificent performance, claiming three wickets each and bundling out England for 103 runs. They will now be taking on South Africa in the summit clash on Saturday (29th June) at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados.
