I'm Such A Big Fan Of IPL And I Would Love To Play For RCB – Dewald Brevis Aka ‘Baby AB’

Young South African cricketer Dewald Brevis, who is also known as ‘Baby AB’ said that he is a big fan of the marquee Indian Premier League (IPL) and he would love to represent the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Brevis has become the talk of the town after his sensational performance in the Under-19 World Cup 2022 and his batting technique is often compared to the legendary Proteas batsman AB de Villiers.

The 18-year-old old has smashed 4 back-to-back 50+ scores in the World Cup including three 90+ scores. He scored 65 runs against India, 104 runs against Uganda, 96 runs against Ireland and 97 runs against England. Also, with his leg-spin bowling, he has bagged six wickets in the tournament.

In a video posted on the official website of the International Cricket Council (ICC), Brevis said that he loves the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise because his two favourite players Kohli and de Villiers played together for RCB in the Indian Premier League.

For me one of the biggest dream is to play for the Proteas. I’m such a big fan of IPL and I would love to play the IPL for RCB. I love RCB because Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers was there. I’m big fan of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers,” he said.

“Also, all the other T20 competitions around the world. I want to be recognized as an all-rounder with my leg-spin bowling. I want to play all three formats,” he added.

Also, recently, Brevis’ picture went viral on social media in which he was seen donning the old Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) jersey.

Meanwhile, Kohli will continue to play for the RCB in the Indian Premier League. However, de Villiers is no longer a part of the franchise as he had announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.
