The IND vs AUs 5th T20I will be played in Bengaluru on December 3, Sunday. This is the last of the five-match T20I series. India bagged yet another T20I series at home as they beat the Aussies in the 4th T20I by 20 runs. India are now unbeaten in 14 straight bilateral T20I series at home.

Rinku Singh top-scored with 46 as India scored a competitive 174/9 in their 20 overs. He shared a crucial 56-run stan with Jitesh Sharma (35 off 19) as the Men in Blue lost their last five wickets for just seven runs. In the end, the 174 proved more than enough with the bowlers rising to the challenge of defending the target.

The bowlers more than made up for it as Axar Patel picked up 3/16. Deepak Chahar on his comeback game picked up 2/44. Ravi Bishnoi and Aveh Khan picked up one each. Travis Head’s wicket was the key one for Australia as he was threatening to take the game away from India.

Australia, after the highs of a World Cup win lost the T20I series on the back of it. The Aussies needed 31 off the final over in the fourth T20I and fell well short in the end. Most likely the fifth T20I will be about testing the strength for both teams.

India continues their T20I domination at home winning their 14th consecutive T20I series at home. It was to Australia that they last lost a T20I series at home which was in 2019. The final match will be played in Bengaluru. Given the history of the venue it is expected to be another high-scoring contest.

After the fifth T20I, both teams will get a few days break before both restart their WTC 2023-25 campaign. India face South Africa while the Aussies host Pakistan at home.
