Rilee Rossouw has come up with a bold and hilarious prediction for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Punjab Kings recently posted a video of their players as well as coaches predicting the highest run-scorers and wicket-takers for the tournaments.

The highly awaited tournament is scheduled to get underway on Sunday (June 2). The United States and the Caribbean are co-hosting the tournament. A record 20 teams will be taking part in the tournament. The 20 teams have been divided into four groups of five teams each. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super 8s stage.

The much-awaited tournament will begin on Sunday (June 2) with the game between co-hosts USA and Canada in Dallas. And ahead of the competition, the PBKS players and coaches predicted the players who could finish the campaign as the most prolific run-scorers and wicket-takers.

Harshal Patel, who finished IPL 2024 as the highest wicket-taker, started the predictions by picking Jasprit Bumrah and Virat Kohli as the leading wicket-taker and run-scorer respectively. Jitesh Sharma, who led the team in the last game in the absence of Shikhar Dhawan and Sam Curran, then picked Suryakumar Yadav and his IPL teammate Arshdeep Singh.

After Jitesh, Rilee Rossouw came up with his hilarious prediction. The South Africa star hilariously picked Bumrah as the highest run-scorer before picking his compatriot Heinrich Klaasen as the highest wicket-taker, leaving Jitesh in splits.

Watch as Rilee Rossouw reveals his hilarious prediction:

Talking about PBKS' performance in IPL 2024, they struggled to do well once again and failed to make it past the league stage once again. PBKS have not managed to make it to the playoffs since 2014 when they qualified for the final.

In the recently-concluded season, they struggled for consistency and never really looked in contention to make it to the last four. In the end, they finished in the ninth spot with just 5 wins from 14 games.
