Indian keeper-batter Ishan Kishan has come to the rescue of his team in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 game against Pakistan. The Men in Blue were in deep trouble after opting to bat at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele.
India were tottering at 64/4 and they were in the doldrums. It was at that moment when Ishan Kishan, who is playing in the absence of KL Rahul, stepped up and played a great knock under pressure to bail his team out of trouble in the important game.
Ishan Kishan came out with positive intent and took charge of the Pakistani bowlers. He looked unfazed by the wickets falling at the other end as he played his natural aggressive game and played some crisp shots. His innings made sure that despite early wickets, the run rate of India remained high.
Ishan Kishan didn’t looked scratchy like other Indian batters as he joined hands with Hardik Pandya and took his team out of trouble. The keeper-batter along with taking the singles also punished the bad balls and hit some staggering boundary and sixes.
Ishan Kishan smashed a rollicking half-century and was still going strong at the time of writing this piece. The southpaw brought up his fifty in 54 balls and made sure that he brought his side back in the game.
After he reached his half-century, the Indian dressing room was jubilant and they gave him a standing Ovation. Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer particularly lauded their teammate for his magnificent innings.

IND vs PAK: Hardik Pandya Joins Ishan Kishan and smashes a rollicking half-century
Ishan Kishan has been well supported by all-rounder Hardik Pandya. The duo together has stitched over 100 runs partnership and has brought their team back into the game, which didn’t seem possible at one stage.
Hardik Pandya also slammed a magnificent half-century and is still going strong. Both him and Kishan would be hoping to continue and take their team to the big total.
