Jasprit Bumrah castled Mohammad Rizwan with an absolute beauty to give India a huge breakthrough against Pakistan in the ongoing 19th game of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
The India pace spearhead would have taken Rizwan's wicket in his very first over after making him hit one straight to Shivam Dube at fine leg. However, Dube failed to hold on to an easy catch and India paid a big price for it. In a low-scoring game, Rizwan went on to score 31 runs before Jasprit Bumrah finally dismissed him in the 15th over.
After bowling two overs in the powerplay, Jasprit Bumrah was reintroduced into the attack for the 15th over as India desperately needed a breakthrough. And their star pacer responded in style by dismissing Rizwan on the very first ball of the over.
It was an angled delivery from Bumrah and Rizwan decided to play an aggressive shot. However, the ball stayed a bit low and Rizwan could not make any contact with the ball at all. The ball went on to crash into the stumps. The Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman departed after scoring 31 runs off 44 balls with the help of one four and one six.

Talking about the game, it is finely poised at the moment. At the time of writing this report, Pakistan were on 89 for 5 and still need 31 runs in 20 balls. Imad Wasim and Iftikhar Ahmed were fighting it out for Pakistan in the middle.
Earlier in the game, India were bowled out for 119 runs after being asked to bat first on the tough pitch. At one stage, India were comfortably placed at 89 for 3 in the 12th over and were looking destined to post a total close to 150 runs. However, they suffered an inexplicable collapse and found themselves reeling at 96 for 7 before being dismissed for 119.
