IND vs SA: Watch - Jasprit Bumrah Sends Kagiso Rabada's Stump Cartwheeling; Pacers Exchange Smiles

Jasprit Bumrah has been the man for India with the ball in the ongoing first Test against South Africa at the Supersport Park in Centurion. The fast bowler despite not getting much support from the other end is making sure that he keeps the intensity up and going. 

The Day 3 of the ongoing first Test hasn’t been great for India so far. They have leaked a lot of runs and South Africa too haven’t been easy on them. The hosts put the team under pressure and scored runs quickly, taking the lead of over 150 runs. 

India managed to take just two wickets in the first session of the day. But it was Jasprit Bumrah who made sure that his team got off to a good start in the second innings. In the very first over after the lunch, he struck and removed Kagiso Rabada with a staggering delivery. 

Jasprit Bumrah bowled a fullish delivery that was angling into off-stump. Kagiso Rabada was stuck on the crease and defended the ball inside the line. The ball held its line and passed the outside edge to knock back the off-stump. 

Kagiso Rabada had no clue to the delivery by Jasprit Bumrah. The ball went past him like a flash and the off stump went for a walk. The South Africa pacer walked off with a wry smile, knowing that he couldn’t have done much.

Kagiso Rabada managed just 1 run off 9 balls and his wicket reduced South Africa to 392/8. This was Jasprit Bumrah’s third wicket in the day and he surely has been India’s best bowler in the game. He has bowled tight lines and lengths but didn’t get great support from the other end.

IND vs SA: Jasprit Bumrah takes four wickets 

Jasprit Bumrah has provided India with time-to-time breakthroughs in the game. Earlier when there was a partnership going on between Dean Elgar and Tony de Zorzi, he brought his side back as he found the outside edge of the latter and got the much-needed wicket. 

He then chipped in quickly after that he removed Keegan Petersen and helped his side take the top spot. He shattered his stumps and sent him packing for just 2 runs.  The pacer then took the last dor his team as well as he removed Nandre Burger and ended with four wickets. 

Jasprit Bumrah bowled a pinpoint yorker to which the Burger had no clue. He shattered his stumps with Thunderbolt yorker and ended South Africa’s innings on 408 runs. It’s fair to say that he was a lone warrior for his team with the ball. 

Jasprit Bumrah ended with the figures of 4/69 and had an economy of just over 2. South Africa have taken a lead of 163 runs in the first innings. India now would be hoping to produce a good effort with the bat and post a massive total on the board. The onus will be on the skipper Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal to give the team a good start.
