IND vs SA Watch - Mohammed Siraj Hits SIUU After Dismissing David Bedingham With Pearler
PC: X

Mohammed Siraj has brought India back into the game when it seemed nothing was going their way in the ongoing game against South Africa. The first match of the two-match series between the teams is taking place at the Supersport Park in Centurion.

South Africa have been superb with the bat in reply to India’s 245. Thanks to Dean Elgar and David Bedingham. The duo bailed the team out of trouble after they lost early wickets and took the game away from India with their sensational 100+ partnership.

They stood like a rock on the crease and it didn’t seem India could pick wickets. But Mohammed Siraj showed them the light after the big tunnel. It surely needed something special to get rid of the David Bedingham and the Indian pacer did exactly that.

Mohammed Siraj bowled a full delivery on the stumps. The ball sneaked through the gap between bat and pad and then went on to shatter the stumps. David Bedingham was beaten for pace as the middle stump was knocked back.

Here’s the video:

David Bedingham played an excellent innings on the debut. The batter slammed a sensational half-century and brought his team back into the game after they lost early wickets. The right-hander scored 56 runs off 87 and put Indian bowlers under pressure.

Mohammed Siraj finally got the reward of good bowling. He tried hard as he beat batters quite a few times. However, luck didn’t favor him as the ball didn’t get the edge. He was rewarded for his good bowling with the scalp of David Bedingham.

IND vs SA: After Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna strikes as well

Mohammed Siraj was backed up beautifully by Prasidh Krishna. The pacer removed the keeper-batter Kyle Verreynne. The Karnataka fast bowler bowled a short of a length delivery outside off. The batter tried to cut it behind and missed it.

India were confident that Kyle Verreynne nicked the ball and opted for DRS as the umpire didn’t give it out. The ultra edge shower clear spike as the batter had to take the long walk back to the Pavillion. He scored just 4 runs off 7 balls and his wicket saw Proteas tottering at 249/5.

Dean Elagar on the other hand has been the wall in the game against India. The batter has played a magnificent innings and hasn’t put a foot wrong. The opening batter has taken the blows on the body but is making sure that he stays there to take his team to the big lead.

South Africa have taken a first-innings lead and still have 5 wickets in hand. India would be hoping to take wickets as early as possible. Elgar, who is batting at 140*, holds the key for his team. If the visitors managed to take his wicket early, they then can take some momentum and get themselves back on the track. Bad light forced umpires to take early stumps on Day 2. The day belonged to South Africa as they ended the day with 256/5 and are 11 runs ahead of the Indian team.
