Indian fast-bowling all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer took a fantastic diving catch off all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja’s delivery to dismiss Sri Lanka opening batsman Danushka Gunathilaka in the second T20I of the three-match T20I series at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala on Saturday, February 26.
In the 4th delivery of the 9th over, spin bowling all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja delivered a shorter length ball wide of the off stumps and Sri Lankan Gunathilaka went for a slog sweep only to get a top edge.

The ball went miles in the air towards the long-on and all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer, who had misjudged it, had to dive full length to grab the catch and despite his elbows hitting the ground he avoided dropping the ball.

Opener Gunathilaka was able to score 38 runs off 29 balls including 4 fours and 2 sixes and he batted at a strike rate of 131.03.
Sri Lanka Made Two Changes In 2nd T20I vs India

Earlier, India won the toss and opted to field first. India made no changes to the team and they fielded the same playing XI. Sri Lanka skipper Dasun Shanaka said that they would have also opted to bowl because the pitch was under the covers. Also, Sri Lanka made two changes to the team as Janith Liyanage and Jeffrey Vandersay were out and Binura Fernando and Danushka Gunathilaka were added to the playing XI.
Earlier, Nissanka and Gunathilaka opened the innings for Sri Lanka and Bhuvneshwar Kumar opened the attack for the Indian team. Bhuvneshwar delivered an amazing first over as he bowled 4 dot balls. Jasprit Bumrah came to bowl the second over and he started off with a couple of wide balls and gave away 5 runs in the over. In the third over Bhuvneshwar bowled some good deliveries and consumed only 6 runs. The next few overs were decent for Sri Lanka and at the end of the powerplay, they were at 32/0.
