IND vs USA: Sanjay Manjrekar attacks Virat Kohli for no reason as he names India's best player currently

Jasprit Bumrah has been hogging the limelight since bowling India to victory against Pakistan. He bowled a spell of 3/14 picking up key wickets to deliver the knockout punch on Pakistan in New York on Sunday.

Pakistan bowlers bowled out India for just 119. That was India's lowest total in T20 World Cup cricket. The onus was then on the Indian bowlers to step up and defend the target and they delivered in unison.

Bumrah started the slide with the early wicket of Babar Azam. The wicket of Mohammad Rizwan in the 15th over of the Pakistan innings turned the match in India's favor. There was a spell of 36 balls in the Pakistan innings when they failed to hit a single boundary.

The pressure mounted the batters and they succumbed to it. Arshdeep Singh defended 18 off the final over and India won the match by six runs. The win has taken India to the top spot in the points table with two matches to go. They play against the USA on June 12 and against Canada on June 15.

Meanwhile, former Indian batter Sanjay Manjrekar has given all the credit to Bumrah for turning the fortunes around for India in the match. In his recent tweet, he said that Jasprit Bumrah is the best Indian player at the moment with the Indian media focusing on the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

"While Indian media obsesses over Virat & Co, Jasprit Bumrah quietly wins games for India single-handedly. By far the best player in the Indian team & has been for a while now.#JaspritBumrah#ICCT20WC," wrote Manjrekar in his tweet.

The Indian team was tested to the core both with the bat and the ball in this match. It was Rishah Pant who fought hard and scored 42 crucial runs with the bat taking India to that score of 119.

Bumrah then led the attack and responded with the bat as India needed wickets early and he provided them. First, he dismissed Babar Azam and then came back to dismiss Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed to take the gas out of the chase.

Bumrah and Hardik Pandya took two wickets each and made the best use of the conditions. The inswinger that he bowled to dismiss Rizwan was one of the best deliveries of the match. Meanwhile, Pandya used the short-pitched deliveries to good effect.

The Indian pacer missed the last T20 World Cup with back problems and he has made a good start in India's mission to win this T20 World Cup. Jasprit Bumrah picked up 20 wickets in the ODI World Cup and 20 wickets in IPL 2024 and looks in great form.

Pakistan now are dependent on other results apart from their own games being must-win contests. They need to win their two games by big margins and hope that India beat USA and Canada. They will also hope for the USA to beat Ireland so that they have an opportunity to beat them in their final league game. Two wins for Pakistan will take them to four points and tie on points with the USA. The NRR will then come into the picture with only one of those two teams making it to the Super 8s.
