Jasprit Bumrah bowled a spell of 3/14 against Pakistan in New York on Sunday to bowl India to victory defending 120. India won their seventh T20 World Cup game against their arch-rivals in the process.

Bumrah's wicket of Mohammad Rizwan in the 15th over of the Pakistan innings turned the game in India's favour He then dismissed Iftikhar Ahmed to put Pakistan's chances to bed.

Iftikhar was out to a full toss delivery from Bumrah as he missed it and was caught by Arshdeep Singh. The Indian pacer bowled 15 dot balls and also dismissed Babar Azam inside the powerplay to give India a huge advantage.

Bumrah's performance was by far the best for India in their T20 World Cup history. 120 is also the lowest score defended ever in Indian men's T20I history. The Indian team created several records and Bumrah was at the center of it all.

Bumrah was also named the Man of the Match for his heroics on Sunday. Meanwhile, former Pakistan skipper Waqar Younis in his interaction with Star Sports after the match said the Indian pacer puts terror in their minds, which didn't allow them to attack him.

Jasprit Bumrah Hard To Pick: Waqar Younis

“I have played against many greats of the game. But when I look at Bumrah, the kind of action he has got. Why cannot they hit Bumrah’s full tosses? It is because of the fear of his name. He puts terror in the batters’ minds. Even if he bowls full tosses, it is hard to hit because the batters are not expecting that,” Waqar told Star Sports.

The former Pakistan pacer further said that Bumrah's unique action makes it difficult for the batters to pick him.

“On top of that, the whippy action, the hyper-extension is very hard to pick. He is one of the bowlers, who is very hard to pick, he is a genius. He bowls well in any kind of conditions. He has got everything covered, he is world-class,” he added.

Bumrah was helped by fellow Indian bowlers. Hardik Pandya picked two while Arshdeep Singh and Axar Patel picked one each. Arshdeep defended 18 off the final over. The win predictor at one point showed only 8 percent in India's favor. In the end, it was the Men in Blue who had the last laugh.

Pakistan ended at 113 for seven in 20 overs, replying to India's 119 all-out on a two-paced track at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium. The pitch for this game was a decent one. It kept the bowlers from both sides in the game. The batters from both sides struggled to get runs. In the end, India's total was just out of reach of Pakistan.

Pakistan's loss in this particular game was heartbreaking for the former cricketers and fans. The team not being able to chase just 120 left them shell-shocked. Babar Azam the skipper scored just 13 when he had an opportunity to win the game for his side. His captaincy is once again under scanner as is their future in this tournament.
