Yashasvi Jaiswal became only the 17th batter from India to score a century on his Test debut for India. As an opener, he is only the third after Shikhar Dhawan (187) in 2013 vs Australia and Prithvi Shaw (134) in 2018 vs West Indies to hit the ton on his debut. Notably, he’s the first opener to smash a century in West Indies in his maiden innings.

Yashasvi Jaiswal looked extremely patient in his innings and reached his ton in 214 balls. He struck 11 fours in his innings till his century and also stitched over 200 runs partnership with skipper Rohit Sharma, who is also looking set for his ton.
