IND vs WI: "He Might Change Up A Little Bit..." - Abhinav Mukund Gives Advice To Hardik Pandya Ahead Of 4th T20I

The 33-year-old Indian batsman, Abhinav Mukund gave advice to Hardik Pandya and said that the 29-year-old skipper was confused while using bowlers in the third T20I match against West Indies at Providence Stadium, Guyana.

While speaking on Jio Cinema, Mukund felt that Hardik Pandya was confused about how to handle Axar in the third T20I match.

“I thought Hardik Pandya’s captaincy was on point in terms of the third T20I. He used Axar in overs that he likes bowling. He likes bowling in the powerplay and just after the powerplay. He is not too much of a later overs’ bowler and I thought he was a bit confused about how to handle Axar,” said Mukund on Hardik Pandya.

Abhinav Mukund further asked Hardik Pandya to use Mukesh Kumar wisely in the upcoming fourth T20I match against West Indies.

“Not only that, I feel he could have given Mukesh Kumar maybe an over or two before the couple of overs that he bowled at the death. These are the things that he might change up a little bit in the fourth T20I,” Mukund added.

RP Singh said that the India skipper used spinners in a different way in the third T20I match and mentioned how Hardik used Axar Patel in four back-to-back overs, which according to him was not right.

“I want him to use his bowlers better because he used a lot of spinners in different-different ways in the third T20I. He gave four consecutive overs to Axar Patel. I feel he is a little confused with regard to Axar Patel’s bowling,” he added.

Singh also said that Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal weren’t given a chance where they could have picked maximums wickets. He added that Mukesh Kumar should also be used in the powerplay overs and keeping him only for the death is not the correct way to use the pacer.

“Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal weren’t bowled where they could have taken maximum wickets because of that. Along with that, Mukesh Kumar can be given some bowling in the powerplay for sure. It is not that Mukesh Kumar is only a death bowler,” he concluded.

India will square off against West Indies in the fourth T20I match on Saturday (August 12) at 8:00 PM IST. The match will be played at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Florida.
