Fans on Twitter reacted after Indian Cricket Team handed a debut to Ishan Kishan, preferring him over specialist KS Bharat in the first Test against West Indies in Dominica.
India have been asked to field first in the first Test against West Indies. The Rohit Sharma-led surprised many after just ahead of the toss, they gave the debut cap to Ishan Kishan. The southpaw has been traveling with the team for a while but with KS Bharat on the team, he didn’t get the opportunity.

The decision surprised many because KS Bharat was dropped after just 5 games. The keeper-batter didn’t have good outings with the bat but it’s fair to say that he batted on difficult pitches and it was expected that team would give him at least a few more games before dropping him.
Ishan Kishan came into the Indian Test setup after KL Rahul was ruled out of the Indian side for the ICC World Test Championship Final. He came in as a replacement player but has played a fair bit of FC cricket. In the 43 games, he has scored 2985 runs at a decent average of 38.96. He also has scored 6 tons and 16 half-centuries.
