IND vs WI: Ravichandran Ashwin Becomes India's Second Highest Wicket-Taker; Breaks Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh's Records

Ace spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has achieved massive feats for Indian Cricket Team. He surpassed Harbhajan Singh to become the nation’s second-highest wicket-taker across formats and also leapfrogged Anil Kumble to take the second-most wickets against West Indies in the longest format of the game.
Ravichandran Ashwin achieved massive feats in the ongoing second Test against West Indies at the Queen’s Park in Port of Spain, Trinidad. The off-spinner bowled an eye-catching spell in the second innings and put India a bit ahead in the game.
Ravichandran Ashwin picked two wickets in Kraigg Brathwaite and Kirk McKenzie and made sure that West Indies are jolted early in their chase of 365 runs. The veteran off-spinner with his two wickets completed his 712 wickets in international cricket and went past Harbhajan Singh, who has 711 scalps to his name.
Ravichandran Ashwin now only has Anil Kumble ahead of him. The legendary spinner has 956 scalps in all three formats. With the way the off-spinner is going and picking wickets of fun, it’s fair to say that the day isn’t far when he will become India’s leading wicket-taker.

IND vs WI: Ravichandran Ashwin goes past Anil Kumble for most wickets against West Indies
Apart from this, Ravichandran Ashwin also surpassed Anil Kumble in terms of the most wickets taken in Test cricket against the West Indies. The off-spinner with his two scalps in the second innings completed 75 wickets to become second highest wicket-taker against the opposition, leaving behind Kumble’s tally of 74 wickets.
Ravichandran Ashwin is now only behind Kapil Dev in terms of most Test wickets against West Indies. The former Indian skipper has 89 scalps to his name. Ashwin would hold a vital cog for India in the ongoing game as he needs to play a big role if India has fancy their chances of winning.
Chasing the target of 365 runs, West Indies lost wickets early and were 44/2. At Stumps on Day 4, the hosts were 76/2 and are still 289 runs away from the win.
