India skipper Rohit Sharma and funny interviews go hand in hand. Time and again, the batting superstar has left the cricketing world in splits with his hilarious answers to the journalists.

And he was at it again while interacting with the journalists. Rohit Sharma was speaking with the journalists on Tuesday (July 18) when he was asked about his teammate Ishan Kishan’s birthday and the India skipper nonchalantly came up with a hilarious response.

Ishan Kishan turned 25 on Tuesday. The ongoing tour of the West Indies is a special one for the wicketkeeper-batsman as he finally made his Test debut during the first game in Trinidad. While Kishan did not have a lot to do with the bat, he did impress one and all with his wicketkeeping as well as his hilarious comments from behind the stumps.

Rohit Sharma was speaking to the journalists ahead of the second IND vs WI Test when one of the journalists asked him about Kishan’s birthday gift. In reply, the India captain hilariously said:

“Kya birthday gift? Kya chahiye bhai tereko? Sab toh hai bhai (What birthay gift? what gift do you want? You have everything).”

Not only the journalists but Kishan also burst into laughter after listening to Rohit Sharma’s answer. The India opener further said: “We should ask the team about this. It should be the team’s contribution. Birthday gift tu hum logo ko dey bhai 100 – run karkey (You should give us a birthday gift by scoring 100 runs).”

“It’s an honour to be taking the Indian team into this game and it doesn’t happen every day. The two teams have so much history, so much of good cricket played. I will expect no different in this Test. I am sure they (Windies) will bounce back and it will be exciting for both teams,” concluded Rohit Sharma.

Meanwhile, India will be looking to continue their winning start in the ongoing Test series by winning the second and final game of the series too. The Rohit Sharma-led side took an unassailable lead in the series by winning the first Test by an innings and 141 runs.
