Rohit Sharma looks in a mood to chill and relax after India’s dominating win over West Indies in the first Test. India won the Test match by an innings and 141 runs which was Rohit’s fifth Test win in 8 matches as captain. The win helped him surpass Sachin Tendulkar’s tally of four Test wins in 25 matches.

Rohit was seen relaxing as he posted a picture with a beautiful background from his hotel room. He was supposedly talking to “Anarkali” as the caption from his Instagram post read. The caption read, ‘Anarkali ka phone tha, ice cream khana bahut zaroori hai’ which is a dialogue from Shahrukh Khan’s renowned movie Baazigar.

Seeing the post, Rohit’s wife Ritika Sajdeh could not help herself but react hilariously. She replied saying “But you were talking to me and asking if the coffee machine was okay,” she commented leaving social media users in splits.

Meanwhile, India’s win against West Indies helped them to stay at the top of the WTC 2023-25 points table with 100 PCT points. Australia are placed second and England are third on the table as of now. Rohit scored his 10th Test ton as India returned back to winning ways after the WTC final loss.

Ravichandran Ashwin took 12/131 while Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 171 on debut which was the other impactful performance from the Indian team in this Test match. Jaiswal was awarded the Man of the Match for his stellar knock.

Rohit Sharma was a happy captain at the post-match presentation as he hailed his bowlers for a brilliant bowling performance.

“I would like to start by saying it was a great effort with the ball. Getting them out for 150 set the game for us. We knew batting would get tough, it wasn’t easy to score runs. We knew we wanted to bat only once and bat long. Get over 400 runs and then we came out and bowled really well” said Rohit.

The second IND vs WI Test will be played in Trinidad from July 20 to 24.
