Former India spinner Pragyan Ojha formed his best India Test team for the 21st century. The former left-arm spinner picked Virat Kohli as the captain. He chose MS Dhoni as the wicketkeeper. Many active Indian players were not part of the playing XI.

Interestingly, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin were not part of the playing XI in Pragyan Ojha’s list. However, Both the Indian stalwarts were part of the 16-member squad.

Pragyan Ojha Reveals His Best India Test Team Of the 21st Century

Pragyan Ojha took to Twitter to share his best Indian Test players of the 21st century. The former off-spinner opted to go ahead with Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir as openers.

At the one-down batting position, he kept Rahul Dravid. Batting legends Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and VVS Laxman were picked in the middle order. In the spin category, Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh were inducted into the playing XI.

Test specialist batters like Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane were also part of the list. However, they were not picked in the playing XI. Pacer Mohammed Shami was another player who was not part of the XI but made it to the squad.
